SLTMobitel, a recent addition to Sri Lanka's technological landscape, has begun deploying 5G sites in major urban areas. As part of this project, the access nodes were configured to enable transmission to the designated sites. SLTMobitel initially planned to deploy 20 sites across Sri Lanka.

SLT 2.6 project
SLT has begun deploying LTE sites in the 2600MHz band with the support of Mobitel's network infrastructure. As part of this project, Mobitel is providing a dedicated transmission path that will allow LTE to be commissioned in this new band.

SLT Fiber point expansion project
Conducted compliance testing of over 200 SLT data fiber services with RFC2544 standards and interconnected them with the Mobitel network. Led and supervised teams to visit sites and coordinate with SLT to acquire services with minimal downtime.

Assigned with the task of configuring over 500 layer 2 services in Huawei PTN6900, OSN550, and CTN6200 access nodes and Huawei 620 and ZTE NR8250 microwave IDUs to launch Mobitel's 4G project in Sri Lanka, while maintaining cost-effectiveness by minimizing site visits.
Microwave Link Capacity upgrade
Successfully completed over 60 microwave link capacity upgrades using the Network Management System (NMS) and, when necessary, dispatched teams to the sites to provide guidance on the required changes.
