  • Carrying out periodic, predictive and breakdown maintenance of generator system, HT & LT power distribution system, lighting system, UPS system, Camera system and HVAC system through coordination of service providers attached to Head Office Building as well as Regional Offices and Holiday Homes.
  • Scheduling and Supervising of the 08 Nos 500 kVA standby generator control systems installed at Head Office building in a way that minimizes downtime according to the bank safety, health guidelines and environment policies.
  • Attending and supporting the tendering (Technical Evaluation Committee and Procurement Committees) of purchase and construction related works.
  • Supervising and attending the energy conservation procedures related to Head Office, Regional Offices and Holiday Homes.
  • Updating all plant records and going through-out relevant checklists once completed any maintenance work and Supervising and ensuring the adherence of safety procedures including safety gears whiles in duties.

  • Starting up, synchronizing, loading and shutting down the generators as and when required.
  • Make regular visit to the Power Cavern, switch yard daily in order to check everything is in order and examine the switchgear for any defects. Carryout urgent visits whenever required in case of an emergency.
  • Maintaining records of all statistical data in the log sheet (loading of generator sets and feeders, water levels, rainfall etc.) as specified in CEB Operating Manual.
  • Isolate and make safe any plant, equipment, switchgear, or feeder required for maintenance works and Commissioning and restoring of plant, equipment, switchgear, or feeders after the maintenance or repair is over.
  • Personally responsible for all operations in the Power Station, Switchyard, Dam (Weir) and Intake when on shift duty.

Projects

Participating for the newly installed generator control system (Power command - Cummins brand) and main ATS & power distribution system of Head Office Building at Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Participating for first time inspection of headrace tunnel (5.5 km), tailrace tunnel (1.5 km), stoplogs (operated by a mechanical hoist), intake gate (vertical sliding type and hydraulically controlled) of Kukuleganga Hydro Power Station. 

Inspection and replacement of the oil seals of Francis type turbine at Kukuleganga Hydro Power Station.
