Bank of Ceylon - VMware Infrastructure upgrade project
The project involved the rack mounting of a Cisco USC Blade chassis and the installation of B200 M4 UCS servers. An EMC Unity 400 Storage was also rack mounted. The FI and USC chassis were configured, and VMware vSphere 6.5 was installed on all the servers. The EMC Storage was configured, and LUNs were mounted to the ESXi servers. A vCenter 6.5 was deployed, and all the servers were connected. The old existing servers were added to the new vCenter, and VMs were migrated to the new infrastructure. Storage replication was also configured to the DR EMC unity 400 storage.
Bank of Ceylon - SolarWinds Deployment
The project involved the installation of SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA), Server and Application Monitor (SAM), and Network Configuration Manager (NCM). Horizon and Workspace ONE access. Lead a team of onsite engineers to manage day-to-day activities.
Nation Trust Bank - VMware infrastructure upgrade project
In this project, we added two newly installed VMware vSphere 6.5 servers to the existing vCenter 6.5. We then configured the SAN switches and XIV storage to map LUNs to the new servers. Finally, we migrated VMs from the old infrastructure to the new one. This allowed us to upgrade the infrastructure to the latest version and ensure that all VMs were running on a more modern and efficient system.

National Savings Bank PLC - Server & Storage Hardware Infrastructure Project (PROD and DR).
This project report highlights the successful installation and configuration of two Power7 servers and HMC, along with the
Storwize V5000 and Brocade SAN switch. We completed fiber cabling, SAN zoning configuration, Pool, RAID Array, and LUN
configuration. We configured dual VIOS with NPIV/Virtual Fiber, SCSI, and Ethernet, followed by logical partition creation and
AIX installation (AIX 7.1). Also created users and installed prerequisites to meet Oracle requirements. Finally, configured high
availability (IBM PowerHA 7.1) to ensure Physical node failures don't affect the system's availability. Overall, the project was
successfully completed on time, meeting all the requirements specified by the client.
Bank of Ceylon - FileNet Server & Storage Hardware Infrastructure Project
The project involved installing and configuring P740, V5000, and HMC along with fiber cabling for both production and DR. We
also configured SAN zoning, pool, RAID array, and LUN for both environments. Additionally, we implemented Power VM
configuration with dual VIOS, NPIV, virtual SCSI, and virtual Ethernet for both production and DR to ensure high availability.
Abans - Power 8 for Core DB
A project was completed for the installation and configuration of Power8 and HMC with cabling. PowerVM configuration
included Dual VIOS, NPIV, Virtual Fiber, Virtual SCSI, and Virtual Ethernet. LPAR creation using HMC was also completed.
Additionally, the existing SAN configuration (IBM V7000 storage and Brocade SAN switch) was modified to ensure the successful
implementation of the project.
Hayleys - DR project
Two Power 8 servers were installed and cabled along with HMC. A Storwize V7000 gen 2 and Brocade San Switch were
installed, fiber cabling was done, and the configuration was completed. SAN Zoning configuration, Pool, RAID Array, and LUN
Configuration were carried out, followed by dual VIOS Configuration (NPIV/Virtual Fiber, SCSI, Ethernet). The system backup
and data backup
