Working as a Biology teacher

• set high standards for the students to have a sense of achievement at the end of a term
• Teaching the whole class including the lethargic, weak and excellent students
• Manage classes without a complaint
• Provide comprehensive, printed notes in physical classes
• Share the notes, revision summaries, videos of practicals, past papers and additional reading material in GC
• Encourage students to engage in productive class discussion
• Revise each sub topic in syllabus prior to a class test
• Provide feedback on their mistakes during the test paper discussion within a week
• Use teaching aids when and where necessary

Working as a member of Biology dept,

o preparing exam papers and mark schemes (mock papers and Unit exam papers for AS and A2)

o assisting the HoD to make CAG by providing data on time

o taking part in all dept meetings / staff meetings/ meetings for year 11 mock exam etc held throughout the academic year.

Actions taken to upgrade the performance of weak students

· Conducted the intervention programme at weekly intervals.

· Marked past papers done by numerous students to advice on how to improve their performances.

New initiatives introduced for teaching

· frequently look through Edexcel mark schemes and examiner's reports to see what points are needed for the students to score maximum marks and incorporate them into my model answers which are shared with students via GC when I give feedback.

· Also, frequent tests are held, e.g. once a week for AS and A2, to check to what extent students have grasped the content taught in class.

· I found videos to enhance understanding of the practical work and done past paper questions on those so that, students don't miss out on not doing the practical. Those videos have been uploaded to GC.

· I use ERL in lessons to stimulate further reading by students.

• Improved student understanding by incorporating hands-on activities and real-world examples into lessons.
• Established a positive classroom atmosphere that fostered respect among students and encouraged open dialogue about challenging concepts.

• Worked as a science teacher in the middle section of the school, completing the syllabus and doing revision prior to the term tests
• Conducted all the experiments in the local Curriculum by that time to large, very enthusiastic classes
• Acted as a teacher in charge of their Hokey team and Environment Society
• Planned and successfully completed all type of assessment for each term
• Provided constructive feedback on assignments, helping students improve their critical thinking and problem-solving skills in science.

• Taught the grade 4 students and conducted simple experiments to boost their enthusiasm in the science field
