All the above projects were completed with concerning quality, time, and profit.

The construction of Jaffna Town Hall was the largest Tendered building project carried out in the Jaffna district in the recent past and I was able to be a Senior Operation Engineer of that project. From the tendering phase onward I was involved in this project.

Practical application of knowledge and understanding of Engineering principles.

• Developed the project management plan at the initial stage of the project and implemented it successfully to achieve the major time, quality, and financial goals of the project.
• Engaged with the legislation authorities to obtain relevant approvals for the designs and the execution of the construction works.
• Developed project resource plan with the construction program as well as developed the procurement plan by the National procurement guidelines and organizational procurement procedure. Then it was properly monitored and implemented by ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services to the project.

Leadership and management skills

• Due to major price fluctuation and countries situation, the project slowed down for a certain period, and then I involved in claiming major price variation on this project. So, currently, the project recommenced.
• Provided good Accommodation and sanitation facilities to laborers to ensure a good working environment.
• Provided good welfare facility to staff to work under satisfying working surroundings and achieve construction milestones.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• Conducted several training sessions for the organizational staff about the best practices of construction and the practical project management implementation of this project for the improvement of the organizational construction sector. Conducted the training sessions for the students of technical college, vocational training center students, and university undergraduates at the site premises to illustrate the implemented best construction practices in this project.

Professional Conduct

• Implemented the best practices of Quality management systems, safety systems, and environmental management systems for the improvement of the project.
• Fully implemented the 5S system at the site and maintained clean and tidy conditions throughout the construction period.
• This site was successfully prepared for the surveillance audits to obtain major ISO certificates for the organization such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001.
