Prashan Perera

• Prashan Perera is a highly organised, versatile, and detail-oriented senior naval executive officer and seasoned maritime professional with over two decades of experience in the naval and maritime sectors. I am currently serving in a pivotal role as the Senior Staff Officer of Operations at the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Headquarters. My extensive background encompasses expertise in maritime safety, security, operational and fleet management, human resource planning, training and development, and maritime law, along with a robust academic foundation. I go above and beyond the expectations of any task assigned and is able to concentrate on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment by adapting to organisational behaviour with the vast areas of knowledge accumulation in specialisations such as masters in business management, masters in conflict and peace studies, masters in defence & strategic studies, and masters in maritime safety and security policy studies. I am also a self-motivated professional with sound leadership qualities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
